The work was commissioned by the <strong>Performa Biennial<\/strong> and will occur on November 22 and 23 at Water Street Projects WSA, 180 Maiden Lane in New York, on the 39th Floor.<\/p>\n<p>For <strong><em>Instructions For Twilight<\/em><\/strong>, Fleury &#8220;takes the history of action-based performance, including <strong>Fluxus<\/strong> and Happenings, as a point of departure to reimagine a series of scores with her own inimitable twist on gender roles, serving as inspiration for a performance combining action, objects, and sound, with performers wearing costumes designed by Chris Peters.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The work is co-produced with WSA and curated by <strong>Kathy Noble<\/strong> of<strong> Performa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Sylvie Fleury&#8217;s Performa Commission is made possible with the generous support of <strong>Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Ford Foundation, Consulate General of Switzerland, Pro Helvetia, and Performa Commissioning Council Members Thaddaeus Ropac, Valeria Napoleone<\/strong>, and <strong>Jade Netanya Ullmann<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can purchase tickets <a href=\"https:\/\/performa2025.org\/commissions\/instructions-for-twilight\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JG Thirlwell will be providing a composition and live sound processing to Sylvie Fleury&#8216;s new interdisciplinary installation Instructions For Twilight.
