I am posting this wonderful bit of esoterica because I feel it is something with which every Foetus fan can relate.

Enjoy!

That's one of the greatest things I've ever seen.

Is the song "inspired" from that, or is it some other reference I just don't get, or is it just a coincidence?  I'm laughing either way.

i assumed "boxhead" was a reference to the drinking game:
http://www.ehow.com/how_4475137_play-box-head-drinking-game.html
...which i had never heard of in the states, and the first time i saw it mentioned online was on British & Australian websites, hence the chance that JGT was familiar with it.  but that was just assumption.

Oh, that makes more sense, especially considering JGT's past with alcohol and the running theme of alcohol references in his songs.

And I feel much better about not getting it, since I'm an American.  I've been wondering what this song was referencing...

Huh, I'd always wondered about the song, thanks for the explanation.
Of course, now that I've seen this video too, I'm going to choose to believe it's about a madwoman running through the streets with a box on her head in a misguided attempt at a career in comedy.... but hey, maybe she's drunk too.  ;D

i can't remember where i heard this, but i seem to remember that having a box on your head is emblematic of death, like it's a superstitions somewhere that it's bad luck to have a box on your head, or maybe the image of someone with a box on their head means death will come... something like that, and i seem to remember it's some kind of scandanavian thing...

The obvious answer is that the song is about personal limitations ... And dealing with things in oneself that you try and change but can't.
